Great Minds Think Alike

Just as I was signing on this morning to write this post Carolyn Friedlander posted about the quilt I am about to post about. Definitely go check out her post to see some tantalizing close ups.

One of the things I was most excited about at Market a couple weeks ago was the proliferation of hand work for Modern Quilters. I think Carolyn is a wonderful ambassador for slow sewing. Did you guys watch her seminar on the MQG website last week?

We are kitting this 9 month BOM pattern by Carolyn and we have the pattern available separately as well in case you want to use your own fabrics. The best part is that you can join us for "Slow Sewing Saturdays" which will be scheduled at the shop to work on your quilt and get some personal hand sewing time in.

A picture I took of the quilt at Quilt Market in Minneapolis
The kits will be available to ship by the end of July June. One of the fabrics is back ordered until then. There are also a couple fabrics in the quilt that are no longer available but we will replace them with something beautiful and similar in color and scale. We are taking pre-orders for kits here. If you want just the pattern it is available here.

We also will have kits available for the Austin House Quilt (this is one of the patterns that Carolyn taught at Quiltcon) you can pre-order those here. If you want the pattern only it is available here.

One fabric announcement:

Tinsel has arrived and it is so gorgeous...

  1. I was hoping you would carry this! I am not normally a block of the month person, but not sure I can resist this one.
