Lots of new stuff to share... and a giveaway.

Tuesday, April 19, 2016
Hey Everyone,

So many things to wrap up here and so many fun projects happening...

I went to Sewtopia and got to take classes with Denyse Schmidt and Elizabeth Hartman. I also got to see where the women of Cotton + Steel create their magic. I feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to do things like this....

Here is my Francis Firefly quilt... so in love with these colors.

This is the pattern and it will be out for sale this summer.

Here is my start of my Free Wheeling Single Girl... I am not making any more rings but I am going to add a top and left side border to it. I want it to hang on my wall at home.

 This shows the colors better.

We also got to see Cotton + Steel's new fabrics at their studio. How much do we love that? I had decided to wait until I could see the prints before I bought them this time and I can officially say the ones that are coming this summer are my favorites so far. We were not allowed to take pictures but I promise you don't want to miss them.

Here are some photos from their sweet studio in Atlanta:

Since I have gotten back from the trip we have had lots of new fabrics arrive...

Here is Alison Glass' Handcrafted Patchwork this picture does not do it justice the colors are out of this world!

We also got Lavish by Katarina Roccella. This gorgeous collection is so sumptuous. Of course you can't go wrong with Art Gallery Fabrics. So soft and drapey.

Then we got two Christmas Collections... I know it is only April but what can we do this is when they send them. You could get a big head start on your Christmas sewing.

Cotton + Steel's Garland is so adorable it matches perfectly with last year's Tinsel and has some smaller scale prints. I am having a hard time deciding my favorite print but the little Reindeer are precious.

We also received Violet Craft's beautiful Christmas on Brambleberry Ridge which contains some of my all time favorite prints that Violet has done in some of her collections... reprinted in holiday colors.

And by Thursday Lizzy House' Whisper Prints should be in ... here is a picture that Andover published of them:

What a lovely lot of low volume prints right? You can purchase them now and we will ship them as soon as they are in.

See I told you there was a lot :)

Here is the Giveaway!

See the brown paper bags in everyone's hands in this picture?
They are filled with goodies from Cotton + Steel. Scraps and stickers and tattoos... and I have some fun things from the swag bag from Sewtopia to add to it. You can win the bag and it's contents by leaving a comment below telling me what you like best about all of the new things I showed. I will draw a winner next Tuesday. Good Luck!

Giveaway is now closed.

Catelopes What?!?

Tuesday, August 4, 2015
Well, I have had this collections ordered forever... one day Violet Craft posted a picture of the tiniest tip of a horn.... I ordered the whole collection sight unseen... because let's face it, if it is Violet Craft I want it...flash forward to Spring Market 2015 Miss Violet is roaming the floor with a bundle of lovely in her purse and flashing it to only those she deems worthy. I took a picture but she made me promise not to post it until Michael Miller announced the collection... so finally I can literally let the Catelope out of the bag... We have The Highlands up for pre-order :) It will be here by the end of the month.

Lots of new stuff!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I was so quiet ... the Shop Hop was good but tiring and we are trying to get ourselves back together now.

Brambleberry Ridge  by Violet Craft is here... one of my favorite things from Market. The tiny little bits of metallic are so pretty.

Rustique by Emily Herrick is here. I adore the rich dark colors... more deer... and tomorrow Indelible will be in and then we will have even more deer :)

We have some Ghastlies... because really how can you resist those faces?

We have Angel Band for Christmas... I love the dress form bodies on the Steam Punk Angels....

As I said Indelible will be in tomorrow and so will Jungle Ave... woohoo!

Thursday, June 12, 2014
Sometimes at Quilt Market you see something that just grabs you and won't let go. If you were following along with us on Facebook or Instagram you saw this quilt by Violet Craft more than once:

Ever since then I have been bugging Violet about when she was going to release the pattern. So this morning my wishes came true and I got an email about it. The pattern is being released July 1st. We will be starting a Block of the Month with it as soon as the fabric arrives from Michael Miller sometime in July. Violet is also hosting a quilt along (the pattern is not included for free in the quilt along) she will provide tips and techniques for each month of the quilt along.

I have the pattern up for pre-sale on the website. I have pre-ordered quite a few but I want to make sure that we get enough so if you want one you can pre-order it here

You are not committing to the BOM by buying the pattern but you will be offered the opportunity to purchase the kit when the fabrics arrive. Shipping is free on the pattern and they will ship when they arrive.

Still loving Waterfront Park

Saturday, November 23, 2013
At Spring market my favorite collection was Waterfront Park. Many reasons... it might be slightly sentimental since I grew up in Oregon and the prints are based on Portland. I might be because I love Violet Craft who is just so sweet and fun with a great sense of humor... or it might be that the prints are just that awesome...and I really do think they are.

I was reminded how much I love it today when I saw this blog post by Violet she explains her inspiration behind each print. Hard for me to pick my favorite but the Domino Dots and the Reflections always draw my eye. I marked it down today at the shop if you want to pick any up... just saying.

Madrona Road and a little Melody MIller

Wednesday, August 15, 2012
Hi Everyone,

Madrona Road finally arrived..

You can find it here

Then a little bit of something unexpected (when I say unexpected I mean... I didn't order it) but really could I resist keeping it? They swear I ordered it so, okay, I will keep it.  You can find it here at a great price if I do say so myself.

Happy Monday! Tons new in the shop and Market pictures

Monday, May 21, 2012
Hi Everyone,

I am sure you have been seeing tons of pictures everyehwere from Market. I will be posting this week with my pictures hope you aren't too tired of them.

I guess the thing I am most excited about is adding Kokka to my line up. Not that I don't love the others too but I mean... really... Heather Ross, Melody Miller, and Echino? Come on who wouldn't be excited? So if you haven't been watching the facebook page you might have missed these pictures...

Excuse the poor quality, these are pictures from my phone... I do have some good quality ones coming later...

Here is Violet Craft with the quilt that Elizabeth Hartman made. The pattern is in Elizabeth's new book.

More picture spam coming later.

I can't wait to share all of the new collections I bought at Market. As a hint I picked up 4 new manufacturers. Kokka, Micheal Miller, Dear Stella, and Robert Kaufman.

Here are the things that showed up while I was gone:

Nightshade (well it was here but just the day before I left)
Wrenly Christmas (will have bundles up this afternoon)
Kharma Baby (will have bundles up this afternoon)
Alpine Wonderland (again it was here but very close to departure time)
Santa Claus is Coming to Town (will have bundles up this afternoon)

Rhapsodia will be restocked today and Vintage Modern might show up this afternoon as well... we shall see.

I have a big day ahead of unpacking boxes and getting all of the orders that came in out.

Hope it is the best Monday ever. I will be back with more pictures tomorrow.
