Happy Monday!

Hi Everyone!

Are you ready to get your work week on? I am... I am kind of hoping things calm down the tiniest bit now thtat the stress of opening the web shop is under my belt. We had a couple hiccups but I think they are mostly resolved... still have the 15 item limit but I am sure the website host is working on it.

I actually got to sit down and do some hand quilting for a little while this weekend. I finished my Pillow Talk pillow,  and of course it rained so I couldn't get any great pictures.

I kinda love it. I hope my partner does too.

Summerlove from Art Gallery should be here tomorrow. They sent out a promo email with some awesome eye candy in it. As usual the pictures up until now have not done this fabric justice it is gorgeous!

One of the great things about the new website is I can do sales on a whim. It doesn't take hours to change the price on every fabric in a collection like it does on etsy... so expect more fun sales to pop up... they mght only last an hour or two or a day or maybe a week...

Hi Everyone,

I am so glad he found us LOL Just kiddin'. So how was your weekend? I didn't get as much sewing done as planned but:

I did finish the center of the top of my Pillow Talk Swap pillow. I hope my partner likes it because I have a crush on it for sure!

I also got my banner finished for Amanda's party. I will get a picture of it today when the sun comes out to show you tomorrow.

I received my mug rug swap over the weekend I was just lucky that it got here because the envelope was ripped wide open.

Cuteness look at those adorable owls and birds!

.... the other Monday

Hi Everyone,

Tuesday is the other Monday this week. I worked on this for a minute yesterday:

They are 3" blocks to make an 18" pillow for the Pillow Talk Swap. I hope my partner likes it. There are so many projects to do this month I am a little overwhelmed but I will persevere.

I finished my Mug Rug for the Scrappy Mug Rug Swap last night. I kinda love how it came out... batiks aren't my thing normally but my partner likes them and they did make some pretty leaves..

I am on a strip piecing kick lately. I pieced the strips of the batiks then cut out the leaf shapes on a diagonal to mimic the veins. I hope it isn't too simple. I am pretty proud of the fact that I drew the leaves because I am seriously handicapped when it comes to drawing even simple shapes.

I neve miss my Monday blog post... or I guess I should say rarely. So today is Tuesay the other Monday of the week :) I know some people hate Mondays but I like them. I always feel like it is a new beginning with so many possibilities for the week ahead. I hope your Monday was lovely and you have an even better Tuesday.

I spent Saturday cleaning up my shop then made a mess again when I pulled these:

I finally gave in and bought some of the DS prints from Joann, I really hated to do that... it was my treat to myself for cleaning the bathrooms and the shop on Saturday :) These are the scraps I am going to use to make my partner's pillow for The Pillow Talk Swap

Sorry for the short post but I have a ton to get done before my Angela comes... I mean my Moda Rep. Hehe I love that girl..... gotta mop, gotta get orders packed, gotta dust......

I felt positively not myself yesterday without a blog post :)

I know you saw this pillow. I made it for one of my must not miss swaps on Flickr. Do you ever swap on Flickr? I was speaking with one of the fabric reps the other day and she didn't know Flickr I was a bit surprised. Here are a few of my favorite swap groups (The ones I won't miss for anything.)

This is the Pillow I received from the latest round of The Pillow Talk Swap this is a group of hugely talented people that swap pillow covers on a regular basis. Some of the pillows in this group are true works of art.

This is the last item I sent off for  The Urban Home Goods Swap.

Yay! Quilt Guild Day

Hi Everyone,

I am off to the Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild today. We are doing a mug rug swap (I used scraps from my Pillow Talk Swap stuff) I love it :) I hope whoever gets it does too. Then we are also doing a quilt along. It is an alphabet quilt along where we pick blocks that start with A, B, C etc... These are my first blocks (don't ask why but I decided I wanted to do two quilts at once) Ruby on the right (my traditional quilt) and LouLouThi on the left (my modern quilt) The block is called Alaska Homestead. The colors probably won't always match they just happened to this time.
