Hey Everyone,
I don't know if you all noticed but I left the bundles on sale all week. They are still 25% off and I will leave them up until bed time tomorrow night... which could be Midnight Eastern but might 1am or 2am... having some ladies over to the shop for an after hours party after we are done at PIQF for the evening.
Life is speeding past at the speed of light at the moment. I can't believe I leave for Market in less than a week.
Would you like the chance to win a little something? How about a fat quarter bundle of Angela Walter's new fabric collection Drawn?
All you have to do is tell me in the comments which of the BOM options below you would most likely choose.
I am diligently searching for our new BOM and I have two ideas.
1. Jen Kingwell's My Small World. Yes, it would have to be a labor of love (read challenging) like both of the last two year's BOM's have been. For pictures you can see the quilt along and yes I do have access to patterns and have ordered some already. I will be putting up a pre-order for the patterns soon. If you want to be notified please sign up for the Newsletter. (sign up for newsletter is at the right of the blog)
2. A mystery sampler BOM in which you would receive a mini keychain ruler/template each month along with the pattern instructions and fabric to make the block with that ruler/template. I would be designing the blocks and I promise I write good patterns :) This would be a less expensive option and you would have the template/rulers to keep afterwards for other projects.
You can comment Option 1 or Option 2 or anything else you want to say like "I want both, because I have drunk the koolaid" or "I hate both options". :)
I will do the drawing after I get back from Market on the 26th. I am not sure what day because I am always so busy when I get home from a trip but you can keep commenting until I do the drawing :) Also keep an eye out next week for another giveaway because I always do one after Sample Spree while I am at Market.

Option 2 please....didn't choose "both" because already started My Small World and already way behind in it!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be fun!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be my choice.
ReplyDelete2 would be my choice. I love a good mystery in books and quilting. I love Angela's new fabric too. I have started a quilt with them. I got them from her when she came and spoke at out quilt guild and before they were released in stores.

ReplyDeleteI love this fabric with such subtle patterns! I would choose option 2 and new to quilting, having the templates would be a bonus.
ReplyDeletedonnalee1953 (at) gmail (dot) com
I choose option 2. Thank you. Love the fabric.
ReplyDeletekcummings71@gmail.com
Option 2 sounds different and fun. I would love to see the patterns you creat for it. Have fun at market. jeansophie (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteI would most likely pick option 2, I think it would be fun.
ReplyDeletelove love the fabric - what great colors ! I would pick option 2 as well - boy aren't we an agreeable group !!!! Enjoy PIQF !!!
ReplyDeleteI am going with the crowd and pick option 2. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 - love this idea.
ReplyDeleteHELLO, I'd choose #2 !Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletemsstitcher1214@gmail.com
I like option two.
ReplyDeleteI'd choose #2 as well.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 please!
ReplyDeleteoption 2 please - the first looks way too fiddley....
ReplyDeleteOption 2 sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 has more appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteOption 2, I will just be honest, I have two brand new grandbabies AND I have an expensive hobby that I spend a lot of time doing (i am about to go play and maybe even roll around in new fabric, which is GORGEOUS, that just arrived yesterday shortly). Since I can not give up either of those things, LESS EXPENSIVE always catches my eye now. These grandbabies are expensive little stinkers! Oh but they have my heart!

ReplyDeleteOption 1 is great!!
ReplyDeleteMystery AND less expensive? Yes, please :)
ReplyDeleteI would choose Option 2!!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 for me.
ReplyDeleteI would go with #2 as well. Looks like I am in great company. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I have to say both, although it looks like option 2 is in the lead.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to do a sampler, so option 2 would be the one I'd be most interested in. Even though the it's a small world quilt is pretty awesome, d still say option 2. Have a fabulous time at market. I can't wait to see all the pics. It would be like going to candyland for me.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 please.
ReplyDeleteRenragjdatgmaildotcom
I like Option 1, however, it looks like #2 will get the win!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 is the better of the two, but I've never had the urge to do a mystery block. Who knows...maybe I would like it.
ReplyDeleteI think option 2 sounds more appealing. But both are the BOM! 😂
ReplyDeleteI think option 2 sounds more appealing. But both are the BOM! 😂
ReplyDeleteI think option 2 sounds more appealing. But both are the BOM! 😂
ReplyDeleteI'd pick option 2. Love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteMy Small World for me - I LOVE those quilts!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would chose number 2. always interested in trying something new!
ReplyDeleteOption 2!
ReplyDeleteOption 2...mysteries are fun!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 because I've never done one.
ReplyDeleteOption 2!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, I like them both! I probably won't be able to do either though. I am a little too backed up with projects. My lovely too wise daughter told me that I can't buy more bins to stuff them in.
ReplyDeleteTotally love the idea of number 2, I need more rulers in my life :)
ReplyDeleteI'm no much of a mystery person so I would go with 1!
ReplyDeleteI love Option 1. I wish I didn't have to work so I would have time to participate if you do that.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is gorgeous. I have never done a mystery quilt and option 2 sounds like fun. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 looks like the winner! Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteDmac5958ataoldotcom
My Small World is gorgeous, but completely daunting to me. It would have to be option 2.
ReplyDeleteI like option one (but realistically don't have sewing time to participate in either one). That fabric though! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be my choice. I generally dont like a mystery but I do like all of your patterns so I would trust this :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love a mystery! And tiny rulers too? I vote #2
ReplyDeleteIt's weak, but while I love the Small World quilt, I am not interested in her non-contemporary construction techniques and would probably paper piece it. Also, mysteries, templates, and speciality rulers scare me.
ReplyDeleteI like both, but I don't paper piece. Thanks for the opportunity. acbeier71@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI love option 2 and I love those fabrics! x
ReplyDeleteI would not do either one, but I love the fabric. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would be more likely to do option 2 because it's less expensive and I like the idea of the small ruler to go with it. As long as the pattern isn't too "cutesy" it would be fun to do. the my small world is on my "someday" list though.
ReplyDeleteThe My Small World looks like a lot of work to me so I wouldn't choose that. Not sure about the mystery BOM if I didn't know what the fabrics were beforehand. I'm participating in the Patchwork City Westside BOM and have not been enthused with some of the fabrics I've received. In fact, I am not including a few FQs I've gotten and am having a hard time getting others to work together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win the FQ bundle.
anndunn24(at)gmail.com
Gotta go for the mystery -- option #2 :) Have fun at market!
ReplyDeleteI think Option 2 would be fun. Also, love Angela's new fabric.
ReplyDeleteMy Small World is on my list but since I haven't started it yet, I doubt I'd do it for a BOM either. So the mystery BOM it is. I'm having withdrawal because everyone is gearing up for market and I'm not going! At first I was relieved because I am already scheduled elsewhere but I still want to be there! Have so much fun!! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 sounds more fun to me!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric! Have fun at Quilt Market!
ReplyDeleteOption 2!!!!!
I like Option 2. Have a great time and select more fun fabrics while at Quilt Market
ReplyDeleteJen Kingwells "my Small world" Why? Because I'm now an adventurous quilter and I need a 2016 challenge...or late 2015. Thanks for the opportunity to help you choose:)
ReplyDeleteJulie I love your shop and all the fabric offered period! Intrepid Thread is just too cool. If ever I get to the West Coast from my East Coast, I'm poppin' in!
schimmel.db@gmail.com
The second one sounds much more appealing to me. I don't ever join BOMs because they are so labor intensive and scary looking but a mystery one wouldn't be as scary because I wouldn't be able to see what I'm diving into first! Also, the mystery gift each month sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of #2, the rulers would be fun, but I always like to see what I am getting into.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 pls although I am definitely going to be purchasing a Small World pattern!!
ReplyDeletei choose option 2. thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 as I am no a big fan of the other pattern:)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at market! No attending festival this year:( Saving $ for 35th wedding anniversary next year:)
Option 2 sounds unique for a BOM and interesting. Enjoy your time away at the quilt shows.
ReplyDeleteLoooove the Fabrics!!! :) thanks for chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI definitely would choose Option 2...a Mystery & the Templates sound like such a fun idea!!!!
I like option 2!
ReplyDeleteI like option 1!
ReplyDeleteI would love to do a Jen Kingswell quilt! And even though Small World is challenging, doing it a month at a time would make it easier.
ReplyDeleteMy choice is option 2! Bonus would be to receive the templates. Yet, I am not sure you should count my choice because in all honesty with my health issues, I will not know if I will be up to the challenge until that time. Love the fat quarter bundle you have chosen for this give away! It just sparkles, for some reason. Thank you for the fabulous opportunity to win this prize and have a wonderful creative day!
ReplyDeleteOption 2. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteDefinately Option 2!
ReplyDeleteI would say Option 2- a mystery is always fun!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 here! Option 1 would be SO daunting.
ReplyDeleteMystery quilts are a little scary but so much fun! I vote for Option #2.
ReplyDeleteI'd pick 2 for sure.
ReplyDeleteOption 1, My Small World sounds like a winner to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm also for Option 2.
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my stash-building friend that I'm more of a tool/pattern collector (as I buy fabric per project, rather than building a stash as she is rapidly doing), so I totally pick option 2.
ReplyDeleteI'd be crazy tempted by option 1, though, because I love the IDEA of labors of love, but I have a hard time actually getting them done.
I like Option 2. dawnm1993(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteOption 2, I'm not up for "challenging" at this time :) AND.... I love the idea of a mini template/tool each month.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #1 - I think My Small World is really unique and challenging enough without it being a mystery BOM.
ReplyDeleteOption 1, love Jen Kingwell patterns.
ReplyDeleteI am going for Option #2!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be different.
ReplyDeleteOption 1 sound great, fun and beautiful!! Yep, my choice!
ReplyDeleteI like option 1. The problem with option 2 for me is that I like to choose mown fabric so that it is in keeping with my likes, although it would be great to have templates to use again.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a mystery quilt but don't think I'd use mini templates again. I think I'm ready for a less challenging BOM. Can't wait to see what you find at market!
ReplyDeleteI would choose Option 2 because I am new to quilting and have a lousy choice of color. No matter how I pick the colors they all look like mud.
ReplyDeleteI think the mystery sampler quilt, option 2, would be what I would choose. Thank you, peterstankovich@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of option 2 - it sounds fun. I am doing a mystery quilt along now and i am finding it challenging now knowing how it will all come together or if my fabric choices are complete duds, but I could choose to remove the mystery (so to speak) but have chosen not too. I like a surprise!
ReplyDeleteThe truth is that I wouldn't pick either of them as I don't enjoy "block of the month" things. But if I were picking I would pick option 2
ReplyDeleteI would pick Option 2 IF I had time to do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI like option 2 - I love little rulers!
ReplyDeleteOption 2. I would tend to do it, if I got something in the mail!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Option 2!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 please. jarvenpa1ne at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #1. I think My Small World is unique and challenging.
ReplyDeleteMystery sampler sounds great!
ReplyDeletelenelson(at)mail(dot)com
Option 2 sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI like option 2 and the fun of a mystery in the making. Yes, yes....
ReplyDeletesewfabrics@outlook.com
I choose both! Why not! And I haven't drunk the koolaid - yet!
ReplyDeleteI like option 2 best. Thanks and God bless! ILuvTheEucharist @ aol.com
ReplyDeleteOption 2 as I'm not up for "challenging" yet...
ReplyDeleteOption 2. There are lots of tutorials already for My Small World and I have already finished mine. Totally enjoying your BOM this year!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of Option 2. Each block would be more useable in other mini quilt projects like purses or placemats, etc. And you get the mini rulers:)
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose option 2.
ReplyDeleteHow about an advent calendar? 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteProbably option 2. Nancy A: rangerer@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteI love the idea you have for the Mystery Quilt BOM. It sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeletelin.web.28 at gmail dot com
I would pick Option #2. Have fun at Quilt Market.
ReplyDeleteI like Option #2!
ReplyDeleteI like the Option 1. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 sounds fun. :)
ReplyDeleteOption 2 looks like the winner....and sounds good to me too. Store should have been hopping with everyone coming by from PIQF
ReplyDeleteI like option 2
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be my choice. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePlease click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.
I think option 2 sounds good x
ReplyDeleteIain.ross30 at gmail dot com
I admire J. K., but think it would be such fun to look forward to a surprise pattern from YOU each month! Option 2 for me! Thanks for another great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOption 1 because I missed it the first time around!
ReplyDeletetstanulis@verizon.net
I like option 2!
ReplyDeletekakingsbury at verizon dot net
option 2 would be my pick
ReplyDeleteOption 2 for me too!
ReplyDeletebbrian.obx@gmail.com
Option 2 looks good to me.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
determineddebby at gmail dot com
I like option 2: I've seen that jen kingwell pattern and know that it would just be too labor intensive for me!! I was in the shop Thursday and bought some of the Angela Walters backing fabric! :-)
ReplyDeleteI had noticed and I ordered ;) I think I would choose option 2
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of #2. It'd be nice to collect some smaller rulers - they come in handy!
ReplyDeleteOption 1. I love Jen Kingwell. But I might spring for #2 as well.
ReplyDeleteOption #1 - I love Jen Kingwell's My Small World pattern and I'm signing up for the newsletter because I want a copy of the pattern! Thanks for the opportunity to win Angela Walter's cool new fabric and for the opportunity to chime in on your next BOM! And thanks for getting more copies of the My Small World pattern.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 sounds so fun and works for all levels of quilters with an extra prize :) how fun!!
ReplyDeleteOption 2 is my pick!
ReplyDeleteOption 1! I've spent far too much time trying to get that pattern this summer (without success) so I'm all for My Small World.
ReplyDeleteI like option 1, but I hate suprises! :) And I always drink the koolaid. Thanks for sharing! Yay, super fun!
ReplyDeleteI like option two best
ReplyDeleteOption 2 would be my choice; although, i must confess that I'd most likely do neither. :-)
ReplyDeleteCount me as a drunk quilter. Like 'em both! Either would keep me out of the bars and off the streets as my granny used to say....
ReplyDeleteJuls in FL
Option 2 sounds great.
ReplyDeleteI need my mojo back so I'm hoping Option #1 will do it for me! :)
ReplyDeleteOption 1 would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteOption 1 would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteI like option #2! (escapefor1@msn.com)
