Black Friday Sale

We are having a Black Friday sale on the website.

30% (or more) off our already low prices on all in stock yardage, bundles, and pre-cuts. This includes our selection of apparel fabrics. Coupon code BLASTFRIDAY went live at Midnight Eastern US time last night it continues until Midnight Eastern US time Saturday night 11/28. Coupon code is not valid for pre-orders.

Please be patient about shipping we cut and ship in the order in which we receive your orders but it can take as much as an extra 5 business days to ship during a large sale like this. If you do not see a shipping notice within a week please contact us. Also, things tend to sell out without notice so please make sure that you check the email address you use at checkout so that we can contact you if we run out of something.

Locals:  If you are local to the San Francisco Bay area join us on Saturday 12/5 for the in store sale and our Holiday Hometown Event.. We will have prizes, refreshments, and we are going to have a fabric coloring party. The only charge for the coloring is for the fabric you will get the coloring supplies for free as long as you are using them in the shop :) Please note we will be closed at the brick and mortar through Tuesday 12/1.

Sorry this is a little late this week... I hate to say this but I had a heart attack on Sunday. I do not have heart disease it was a combo of stress and changing my thyroid meds... won't go into a ton of detail but I am home and mending. The blocks and kits are up for week 4 and we have a couple of finishing kits still available if you want one. Here are pictures of the peachy pretties from this week:

Fabulous Fabric Friday

Hey Everyone,

Everything is moving so fast this month I can hardly catch my breath. Have you been enjoying our Sampler Block Shuffle? It is so exciting to see these pretty little blocks coming together.

These are this week's (#3) blocks. We still have kits available for them until Monday and the week #4 block patterns are now up on the page. Kits for #4 will be up on Monday. The fabrics for the finishing kits are coming today so those that contacted me about getting finishing kits can expect to receive and invoice today for them. Also we are still taking orders if you want to get 3 weeks of kits at a time to save on shipping. If you still want to get on the list for a finishing kit we have some available please email me. Also if you leave a comment please leave an email address so that I can contact you back. There are a lot of people that come up as no reply and don't realize it. Just know if you ask a question I always answer it. Either here on the blog under your comment or if you have a reply set up then I answer in email.

Totally Terrific Tuesday Sale, My Small World Pattern, and Tula Pink Coloring Book

Our Totally Terrific Tuesday sale is 20% to 50% off all of our apparel fabrics.  Includes, Rayon, Nani Iro and Cotton+Steel  Double Gauze, Echino Linen/cotton shirting, Lawn, Chambray, etc.  Sale is from noon Tuesdays until Noon Wednesdays Eastern Time. The sale is not running during brick and mortar hours but if you are local you can purchase online and pick up in the shop on Thursday. Today is the last day to pick up your kit and patterns for the first and second week of the Sampler Block Shuffle. You can download your 3rd week block patterns today through next Friday and the kit will be available to order on Monday. From now on only the current week's kit and blocks will be available. If you haven't downloaded them yet, please to so today. Please email me if you want to be on a pre-paid plan for the kits we will send them every 3 weeks to save you on shipping.

We posted a new newsletter a couple days ago have a look here if you didn't receive it. We have lots of new collections in... Anna Maria Horner, Alison Glass, and Denyse Schmidt to name a few.

Sampler Block Shuffle Week 1

Hey Everyone,

Just have a gander at these adorable blocks! I am so in love with these fresh colors. We used 7 fat 16ths of colors and 2 fat eighths of backgrounds (Abacus this time)  and there is enough to make 16 flying geese left over. Here is a link for the kit. If you would like the kit it is $10.50. We use my friend Sophie's no waste Flying Geese method the measurements for the pieces (yes, I am doing the math for you :) ) are:


1 - Geese fabric 4 1/4" Square
4 - Background  2 3/8" Square

In the end you will need 176 flying geese so if you work on them steadily as you go you should have them done with your blocks. Or maybe use them as leaders and enders for other projects.

These are so happy... really brightens up my Monday.

Ps. I sewed too. I made these two tote bags. One is my own design from Carolyn Friedlander's new collection coming in December called Carkai with Essex linen in Natural and Cadet.

 

and the second is my 4th Poolside Tote in Echino with Atrium Accents.
