Grand Opening Sale and A Walk In The Woods is Here!

Thursday, March 8, 2012
Hi Everyone,

I decided to have a Grand Opening sale to celebrate the new website. So go see if there is something you can't live without and use this coupon code to get 10% off GRNDOPN10

Maybe some of this:

I have to admit the reds are my faves....and those foxlets ... eep!

Two more collections should be here today I believe... Fruit Slice from Khrisian A. Howell and Maya from Leah Duncan. Two super sweet girls I was lucky enough to meet at last Quilt Market.

See you tomorrow with something completely different :)

Happy Monday! 15% off sale

Monday, February 20, 2012
Hi Everyone,

I hope your weekend was not spent like mine... taxes and inventory... yuck! I did get a few seconds to sew though. I will show you below... first I wanted to show you this adorable mug rug that Miss Brooke (hint hint you might want to take a cruise by her blog...hint hint) made with the new Desert Daydreams prints... that coffee bean print is my favorite (it looks like sequins to me)

I am such a sucker for teal. This is available in Brooke's etsy shop too :)

I am getting so far behind with what is going on in blog land... wow just so much stuff! I love the beginnnig of the year when everyone has such bright new ideas!

Here is what I got to sew over the weekend:

This is the second block in the Stash Bee that Sunni is running (she is looking for more pople to fill up Hive #3 if you are interested)

Here is the signature block that goes along

I thought I would show you last months sig block too since I hadn't yet.

Oops forgot to mention the 15% off President's day sale use this coupon LINCOLN15

Phew Friday Fun Day... And Another Giveaway

Friday, November 18, 2011
Hi Everyone,

Thank goodness it is Friday, ya know what I mean? What a crazy busy week! The Fun in this Friday is this amazing magazine that Amanda put together. It was photographed at the UP House. So cute! And it features projects from some of my favorite people like Brooke, Sally, and Jana.

And the Giveaway today is being hosted by Melissa at Happy Quilting. It is Fat Quarters of The Woodlands gotta love those fun prints. And don't forget to go back to the post yesterday and enter the giveaway for Pear Tree.

Okay for everyone that is wondering about my hint yesterday. The guesses are cracking me up but the rumor of my Pregnancy  is greatly exaggerated. That one made me laugh out loud! No I am not having a baby next week but someone did a (eh hemmmm) few years ago... my mom! My birthday is next Saturday. This is one of those big ones that ends in a 5 or a 0 ... this time a 5. I am that fortunate girl that gets a pumpkin pie for a birthday cake every year and I get to make it myself too :) Sometimes my birthday is on Thanksgiving day itself. So we are celebrating all week long (it just so happened a lot of my sponsored blogs are having giveaways that I am sponsoring in the next week and a half) so stay tuned for all the presents you get on my birthday ... hehe :)

Where did Monday go?

Tuesday, November 8, 2011
Hi Everyone,

My goodness Monday was a blur. Super busy in the shop and no time to blog. I am so happy because The Woodlands should be here today. I just love me some Khristian Howell... here are just a couple of my faves from this collection:

Well really I can't pick a fave... I love them all did you see the acorns? To die for!

So many new fabrics coming Echo should be here really soon as well as Power Pop, Happiness and Pear Tree.

I have people tell me sometimes that the reason they like reading my blog is they can tell how much I love fabric. It's true ever since I was a little girl I have had a fabric stash even before I could sew.... one of the things I like most about fabric and art is that you can sometimes find fun little things, if you look closely, that you might over look otherwise. Here are two of my latest discoveries that I think are so fun:

This is the print called Secret Window from Flora Look in the little window... a moon and stars and a little spiderweb. I love it!

This is Garden Damask from Flora... see the little bunnies and the bee and the hummingbirds? I love it! Oops I say that a lot don't I?  I really do love it though. I have been enjoying rolling these fabrics out to cut they are so pretty in person and the hand is so lovely and soft. I also love the little flowers in the selvages.

Do you love to inspect your fabric close up and find all of the little surprises the designers put there for you? I bet you do :)

See ya Tomorrow!

Market - The People

Thursday, November 3, 2011
Hi Everyone,

Here is my second post about Market... tomorrow you get to see what I picked up at Sample Spree... The people are the most important part though right? So without further ado... here are some of the people we rubbed shoulders with: (excuse the photo quality they were all taken on my cell phone)

Sally and Brooke at the Airport. I came in a little earlier than Brooke so Sally and I were there waiting ... we screamed her name as she came toward baggage claim LOL

Candice- one of our besties from The Quilted Fish's creative consultant team... waiting in line for Sample Spree
In Sample Spree with Amanda Herring (The Quilted Fish)
Ack look at my hair...oy I hate having my picture taken... I love Kate Spain though ... sweetest girl ever.
I was bending down... she liked that... Mistress Hoey is so adorable. I couldn't believe she remembered me :)
Sally and Khristian A. Howell she is so sweet and wait til you see what she has coming for spring it will knock your socks off.
Sally and Natalie of Cinderberry Stitches she is adorable and now when I read her blog it is in her cute accent :)

Sally and Lynette Anderson I have a story about her read below.
Everyone was wonderful I hate having my picture taken... and why oh why did I wear something like that on the first day of the show??? I am so stupid... okay enough...

Poor Lynette Anderson and her husband were on my flight from Houston to DFW it was an hour late and they missed their flight home (so did I) it was much worse for them than any of the rest of us. They live in Australia and Qantas has been on strike for a few weeks. So all  of the passengers have been backed up trying to get home. The last I saw them the ticket agent was saying the first flight out was next Sunday (6 days) Lynette's husband was going to miss a lot of work it was really really bad. So here is praying that they got home sooner.

Okay ... back tommorrow with my haul from Sample Spree... hope you are having a wonderful week.

Talk soon!

Wanted: Guinea Pigs... and more new fabric.

Thursday, August 18, 2011
Hi Everyone,

First the eye candy:

These are from Rendezvous by Khristian A. Howell for Anthology... it was the Damask that did me in. I know some people are saying they are tired of teal and red... but this is oh so different and sophisticated. Click here to see the whole collection. (be sure to click the thumbnails for full size pictures these are gorgeous)

This is The Woodlands again by Khristian A. Howell for Anthology. Amazing diversity. I love the teeny bit of Japenese style these have. You can see the whole collection here.

Now about the Guinea Pig part. I am looking for a few people to help test a new software for me. I am going to branch out into a regular online shop (not Etsy) so that it is easier to order yardage and shipping is calculated more efficiently etc. I will still have the Etsy shop too this will be in addition. I don't want to launch it and have customers be frustrated if it doesn't work properly though. So I need people that like to dig around check all of the pages see if they can break it or what needs fixing, check spelling (Sasha) etc. So if you would like to volunteer I would like to get started testing on Monday. Leave a comment if you want to help me out.

Giveaways: Don't forget to go back to last Thursdays post and enter the two giveaways they both end tonight at midnight. Tomorrow I will have a new giveaway hosted by my friend Jackie so come on back y'all.

Talk soon!
