We're baaaack... and a winner!

Before I say another word I must thank Brooke for doing such a fabulous job in guest hosting for me. <<<round of applause>>> Thank you so much Brooke! You are a true friend and all around sweetheart!

I thought you might like to see some pictures of what we did while we were gone. After the travel day from hades (It took us 24 hrs to get tot he east coast) We made it just in time for a 2 hr nap before we had to get ready for the dinner before Michael's graduation. Here is a pic of him right after he picked up his diploma:

We were in the nose bleed section so this is the best I could do :)

The next day we had a free day to spend with him so we took the kids to Mt. Vernon (it is one of my favorite historical sites) Erin was too young last time we went there to remember it and Michael had never been. They both really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it as well since so much had changed and been added since last time.

This is the back porch (and my kids) it faces the Potomac.

These are the blacksmiths they were actually working the shop when we were there.

This is Washington's green house. Some of the slave quarters are on each side. The center held tropical plants and trees like lemon and orange trees. And of course this is one of the gardens in front.

Our last day there was spent quietly then we went to Michael's "Eagle Scout Court of Honor"

We are so proud of him.

Two new fabric collections coming this week. It is going to be a busy summer :)
