Hi Everyone,
I actually got to sew for a few hours this week. I have had a Jelly Roll of Hello Betty Retro for a while. I don't know what it is about this collection that caught my fancy but for some reason I love it. Teal, orange, super dark almost black brown... I am not normally a repro/retro girl unless it is modern design from the 50's or something... anyway I finally found the pattern I wanted to use it with:
You can hop along at the Swoon a Hop Along here.

You can get your pattern from Camille here I found having a 60 degree Creative Grids Ruler was really helpful with the templates. I taped the templates to it and used it as my cutting edge.
Stay tuned for todays giveaway. I will be back with that in a little while.
You are oh so amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to look stunning.
ReplyDeleteFabric choices are perfect. Love it
ReplyDeleteYay!! I'm so happy you got to sew. I LOVE Hello Betty too. It's the teal that sealed it for me (I think). It's so pretty!! I've been eyeing that pattern too, better Hop to it. : D
ReplyDeleteOoo so pretty! I really want to make this pattern too - I have a christmas jelly roll just waiting for me to find the time for it! Maybe after I get my husband's summer quilt done I will start on this one next. O wait... there is a pile of UFOs waiting for me from last year, hrmmm... ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks great - can't wait to see it all put together!
That is going to be a beautiful quilt! Glad you found some time to sew.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look so nifty (using retro lingo for the look).
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have some of that, I just recently heard of it and now it's nowhere to be found.
this looks like a fun pattern, but are those bias edges I see? I am going to shy from anything on the bias until I can learn to Press and not Iron!
