Hi Everyone,
After I finished my shipping yesterday I had a few minutes to work on a special little project. Here is a sneak peek:
I am gonna either change the color of the bird or move it to the other side so it's tail doesn't get lost in the flowers... but you get the idea... more about this Monday.
Amanda did a fun video with Riley Blake about her banner panel go check it out here.
It is Friday giveaway day... Since we are having so much fun with Delighted here are two more ways for you to win.
Sunni and Melissa used to blog together at Love Affair With My Brother (go to the blog to figure out what that name is all about) but now Melissa is launching her own pattern company. Don't worry they are still good friends just splitting up the blog. So both are giving away a Delighted Rolie Polie.
Sunni is still blogging at Love Affair...she is a talented young lady she is competing in American Crafter... can't wait to see what she makes. She is also contributing to my Newsletter this month. So go on over and enter to win some Delighted.
Melissa is now at Sew Bitter Sweet Designs she is making a name for herself so keep an eye out for her. She is also contributing to the Newsletter this month. Go on over and enter to win with her too.
Let's celebrate Friday! Today only 20% off everything in the shop with this code FFD20
I will be back tomorrow with the winners of last weeks giveaway.

I like the bird, facing right, and don't think it looks "lost", at least in the photo.
ReplyDeleteThe bird block is lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the block - you could leave the bird where he is an do some quilting/embroidery (or hand quilting with perle threads?) on his tail if you thought it was getting lost...always hard to tell on a photo though!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cute. And another coupon code? Are you trying to kill my budget!?!?! You know I can't resist :)
ReplyDeleteI super duper love your block!! I love HB/Nicey Jane, can't wait to see the finished product. And I agree with jlk, my husband is going to start blocking your website! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sponsoring the giveaways! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bird block. Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway, really like the "delighted" fabric.
ReplyDeleteI like the bird there, just button hole stitch in maybe black or a dark color and I think it will be CUTE CUTE, it's already cute :-)
ReplyDeleteI just realized it's all a drunkard's path, is that using the GO? also for the bird?? either way it's such a cool idea
ReplyDeleteJust been over to Melissa's and she says I have to come over and say HI! so....HIYA. x
ReplyDeleteJust found you, your blog and the give-aways thru Sunni's Blog and now Melissa's who said to come over and say hi. I am now a follower and have added you to my sidebar. Love the fabric
ReplyDeleteLove your bird piece and think the direction looks right, to me.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
The bird block is so cute. Over from Sew Bittersweet saying Hi. Thank you for sponsoring her. You are so generous.
ReplyDeletea double delighted giveaway. nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sponsoring the two giveaways. Such fun!!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for sponsoring the giveaways! I now have 2 more blogs I'm following!
ReplyDeleteYour block is sew cute. Thank you for sponsering the giveaways.
ReplyDeleteThat bird is gorgeous! :D
ReplyDeletelove this sneak peek! (i don't think the tail gets lost)
ReplyDeleteOh you`re too much! 20 per cent off? Are you trying to ruin me? Love that sneek peek and visited both Melissa and Sunni (I just love her name) and so all I have to do is visit your shop. OH. DEAR.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished block. Thaks for being such a great sponsor.
ReplyDeleteNew follower from Sew Bittersweet Designs. :) Thank you for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWe had a surprise snowstorm Tuesday night, last night it froze so most of our garden is history. Haven't seen many birds today. I'm wearing shoes and socks for the 1st time in 5 months. I like your bright yellow bird. I'm not ready for winter!
ReplyDeleteI think that the more I see of Delighted, the more I like it/want it/need it/have to have it!!!
ReplyDeleteThe block you're working on looks good. If you want the bird on that side have you tried making it from white fabric? I think it might look good in white where it's at leaving that other side open to rest the eyes in that open area a bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great giveaways at the other two blogs. I'm already following them both and have now entered. After seeing Delighted in person I am keeping my fingers crossed. It is even more beautiful in person.
Love that bird block--cute but not too cutesy, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fabulous bird block! Nice job, Jewel!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat block! Hmmmmm are you using the Drunkard's Path AccuQuilt die??
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute block! Love that little bird :D
ReplyDeleteMelissa sent me over to say hi!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how this project turns out. I love the bird.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sponsoring the giveaways.
I really like your bird block. Off center looks good.
ReplyDeleteLeaving a comment on the way to check out the two blogs with giveaways. Thanks Julie!
I like the bird block and agree with the move. He/she gets a little lost there.
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm here from SewBitterSweet Designs. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the bird block. I agree with you that the tail probably won't look so lost if the bird is flip-flopped. Thanks for offering up more great giveaways! :)
ReplyDeleteJust popping over to say hi from Sew Bittersweet and thanking you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHi! Melissa from SewBitterSweet sent me over & I'm glad she did! Love the fabrics & appreciate the opportunity to enjoy your blocks & posts!
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping over from BitterSweet. Thanks for sponsoring the giveaways like you do.

ReplyDeleteLike most Oregonians, I love anything with a bird on it. :) Once again, you've created something charming. Too bad it took Melissa to remind me to tell you so! I've visited both of the feature blogs--thanks for pointing out their great giveaways, and thanks for your generosity.

doing the Hi thing for Sewbittersweet's competition. Btw, love the bird, but I'd pop him on the right, or else do some free-motion embroidery to make his tail feathery with a little brown thread.
ReplyDeleteI love the bird, how about a bright thread to sew the tail so it shows up. I like it on the fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another sneek peek. I like the yellow bird! very sweet!
ReplyDeleteCute block.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the video. so great and I really like the fabric with the banners printed on it. Cool.
I love your bird block -- it is really adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful how you do giveaways. I am here via Bittersweet Designs this time. I hope to buy some of your lovely fabric sometime!
