Rendezvous Winter Table Topper Picture Tutorial

Hi everyone!! This is Sally sneaking in and posting for Julie today!! Isn’t it so sweet of Julie to let me take over her blog??? (very trusting!! LOL!!!)

Today I’m going to share a unique tutorial!! It’s unique for several reasons:

First, this is going to be an ALL PICTURE tutorial, which means that you will be able to figure out how to make this by looking at the pics only! You can click on the pics to make them bigger...(I’ll give you measurements and little hints here and there!! LOL!!)

Second, the pictures of this tutorial were taken in two different states!! Yes!! I started this project in Julie’s work room! (that's right, that magical place that has all of her fabric bolts and goodies!) I sewed all of the blocks on her fun machine, too!! Then I came home to Texas and finished it all in my little studio! Yay!!

So without further ado, here is the project:

The Rendezvous Winter Table Topper Picture Tutorial

To make the half square triangles, cut your squares 3  7/8”.

Cut your middle square 12”x12”.

And use a die cutting machine like an Accuquilt Baby Go cutter to cut out these cool trees!

Let's put this thing together!!

A couple of hints: Put fusible web on the back of your fabric before you cut out your appliqued trees. Also, you can quilt it however you want, but when I did it, I used a little bigger stitches, which I love!

Monday, Monday....

Hi Everyone!

Oh my goodness! I am sorry I have been so quiet the last week... Today starts the 4th and last day of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and I have spent the last 3 days,  literally (I promise I am not exaggerating) 15 hrs a day cutting and wrapping. Even on my Birthday... eeps! I also updated my coming soon page on the website so go take a look at all of the awesome that is coming. I took a moment this morning to take a couple pictures (in the dark... excuse the quality).

 Some Sunni loves me ... because she sent me this adorable notebook for my birthday. Wasn't that sweet of her? She covered it in some of the solids I sent her and some Hometown. It is so adorable! Reminds me of a sunrise ... le sigh...

 After all of this crazy busy I am taking Wednesday off to sew some cute outfits for this adorable girl. Her name is Nezumi (means mouse) 'cause she has silver hair (my daughter named her). She was my birthday pressie from the best Hubby ever! (I am part of a Yahoo group called Creepy Old Ladies That Play With Dolls LOL) But I am not that old... for all of you that were guessing my age I am not 50 and I am not 25 but I am closer to the former than the latter :)

I will also be whipping up a little Sumthin' Sumthin' for my Twitter Secret Santa partner with this here Neptune. (I mean really ... just use it already) LOL She is a die hard Tula Pink fan.

What more indeed! Phew Friday Fun Day... And Another Giveaway

Thank goodness it is Friday, ya know what I mean? What a crazy busy week! The Fun in this Friday is this amazing magazine that Amanda put together. It was photographed at the UP House. So cute! And it features projects from some of my favorite people like Brooke, Sally, and Jana.

Okay for everyone that is wondering about my hint yesterday. The guesses are cracking me up but the rumor of my Pregnancy  is greatly exaggerated. That one made me laugh out loud! No I am not having a baby next week but someone did a (eh hemmmm) few years ago... my mom! My birthday is next Saturday. This is one of those big ones that ends in a 5 or a 0 ... this time a 5. I am that fortunate girl that gets a pumpkin pie for a birthday cake every year and I get to make it myself too :) Sometimes my birthday is on Thanksgiving day itself.
