I'll have to say seam ripper, as well, but one notion I really like when I need it is the Bloc Loc Flying Geese ruler. My geese are no longer a little wonky! 

 Thanks Diane! We are going to be carrying Bloc Loc rulers in the shop thanks to Diane. I know there are 4 more people that said Bloc-Loc rulers but Diane was the first.
