The opening of the shop went great! Thank you so much for all of your well wishes. I read each one and I truly appreciate it.
A notice to all of my international customers shipping is going up on the 28th to $24 for a priority envelope. I am sorry I promise it isn't my fault. Domestic shipping is going up too. Yuck!
The inventory is still not updating on the website so I apologize again if we run out of something and I have to notify you afterwards. I am trying to keep up manually but it is difficult.
There are no pictures of Saturday it was just too busy but here are some others from my week.
Last Saturday was the first Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild Sew Day that we hosted at the shop:
This was an early picture I think we had about 15 people total.
My sweet daughter Erin turned 15 on Friday so we spent Thursday afternoon and night in Monterey. I had promised her last year that we could stay at the Seven Gables Inn for her birthday. It is an amazing Bed and Breakfast.
Thursday we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium:

Those sea pens are really cool! And despite being a scuba diver for a few years, I never knew sand dollars lived standing up like that!

Congratulations on a successful opening!!! What an accomplishment! We also love the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We spend hours by the sea otters.

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy your grand opening went well! I wish you only continued success with your shop and I will do my part by ordering online to keep you going. You carry fabrics my LQS will never, ever carry so I don't feel guilty at all about not shopping locally when I purchase from you.
I haven't been back to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in years. It's a beautiful place.

We have an awesome aquarium in Oregon, on the coast, and they just put an extension of it, a couple miles from my house! Can't wait to go!

ReplyDeleteI'm late to the party this week. Happy birthday to Erin! I have been looking for a B&B for when a certain someone comes home :) we had talked about going back to Monterey as that is where we honeymooned. Would you recommend the Seven Gables?
