ReplyDeleteI like off white thread. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy fav color of thread is light gray. It blends in well and doesn't show through when I use it for piecing. For quilting, I love using variegated threads to blend in.

I have been us7a light gray more often now. Seems to work well with everything
ReplyDeleteI use a light gray for most piecing, so I guess that's my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI tend to use an ivory or pearly white for sewing and quilting. It's easy going with many fabric colors and still allows the design to show through. I'd love to try Gutermann thread!
ReplyDeleteMy preference is gray--sometimes dark gray, sometimes medium gray and sometimes light gray. It depends upon whether I'm piecing dark, medium or light colors.
ReplyDeleteI like piecing with a light grey thread, it blends in with nearly everything.

ReplyDeleteI love using off white. That's my go to color.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color thread to use is gray. I like that it blends well with most colors. I actually prefer to sew with a color that is just a little different from the fabric color because it makes ripping out stitches so much easier. Happy Sewing!
ReplyDeleteI use what I think of as "dirty white" - a very pale, warm gray that blends with almost everything. But have been venturing into colors for my FMQing :)
ReplyDeleteI love cream - it seems to blend in so well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I use a light grey for most of my piecing. White comes in second, and black a distant third. Love to try out new-to-me threads and it is a bonus that this brand is available at my local Joanns.
ReplyDeleteI like all colors but I like to quilt so I use mostly off white colors. I do like gray and am going to be making a gray quilt for my daughter. Thanks for your posts and giveaways.
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite quilting thread is a light, light pink. It shows up pretty. I love the neutrals for piecing. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI use a lot of neutrals, especially off white.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you, dove gray. It even works on denim!
ReplyDeleteI tend to use white and navy the most. I just did a quilt with dove grey though and LOVED the result!
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I love thread. I love the grey #6706.
ReplyDeleteI use white or off-white the most. Merry Christmas, Julie!

ReplyDeleteI mostly use neutral threads for quilting as it seems to blend and match everything! Gutermann thread is a great quality and a brand that I live and my sewing machine loves too!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I'm a non traditionalist. I do not have a favorite color go to thread. As an artist and author who also happens to quilt I like to use my threads for bold contrast and emphasis. I prefer for my thread color to compliment or accent components of the quilt pattern or fabrics used. However, that is not to say I don't have a favorite color. I will always purchase spools of turquoise or aqua thread when available if I need it or not....just to drool over if nothing else. :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI use shades of grey for most things - blends with about everything!
ReplyDeleteIvory for light fabrics - smoke gray for dark. Or sometimes a variegated thread. Thank you so much for this opportunity! Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLight gray seems to be the most popular and that's the one I favor as well! It blends with many different colors with no effort. Merry Christmas!
