No, I didn't forget... 3rd Giveaway Day

Hi Everyone,

I didn't forget! Sundays are just busy around here. So that is why this post is later in the day :) Thanks so much to everyone that has emailed about contributing! I promise I will get back to you all if I haven't already. I was just a bit overwhelmed with the response, so now I am re-thinking how to handle it :)

I have been perusing new fabrics the last few days and I just had to show you this:

It is the apron panel from Serenade (Kate Spain's new fall collection coming in the summer) SO CUTE!

I sewed until after midnight last night but I took 7 hours off in between to visit with friends so it was only about 4 hrs of sewing yesterday. I finished all 34 blocks I wanted to make for my quilt but I am not sure I like them so will wait until I have them laid out to decide :)

The giveaway for today is Something from Kate Spain too a fat eighth pack of Good Fortune.

I sewed and a Sneaker Peeker and another Giveaway

I sewed yesterday. Unfortunately I can't show you what it was because:

1. It is a surprise
2. The college kid is sleeping in the room with the computer that I use to download photos from my camera.

This week is gonna be busy busy! Here are all the fabrics coming: Sunny Happy Skies, Half Moon Modern, Karavan, Sugar Hill, Impressions (maybe), Pre-cuts of Domestic Bliss, and Good Fortune. I got notice that in a few days Good Fortune and Stitch in Color Pre-cuts will be here...Yay!

And since you asked... Here is the large cuff all blinged up:

A bezel with vintage papers, Ice Resin, two rows of rhinestones,some freshwater pearls, crystals and silk ribbon. Kinda pretty :) I also spent about 5 hrs the other night working on a bracelet for my friend Deanna. I gave it to her yesterday but forgot to take a picture of it. Maybe I can get one later...

Market...It's Just a Week Away...

Yes, it  is true. A week from today I will be on a plane to Market... where I will hopefully be able to grab some of this from Sample Spree:

I love those colors don't you? Yummy wonderful! (sorry Kate I stole your picture... couldn't help it really!)

Wanna hear something funny? I love it when I go to look at my bank account online and there are several thousand dollars gone... sounds weird I know but that always means something good is coming. Lark will be here Monday and Outfoxed and Meet The Gang should be here soon too... I don't get shipping notices so it is always a fun surprise when it lands on my doorstep.

I posted the few Free Spirit Designer Solids that I got in to the shop... I wish I could take a picture that was like feel-o-vision so you could feel these soft, satiny, delicious fabrics...

The Parrot Blue (last one in second row) is much more vibrant than that and matches the bright teal in Meet The Gang perfectly... I have had my little charm squares out matching things up... I am hoping to carry a nice selection of fabrics that match the new collections coming this fall and winter. Hint: a few of these match the new Ty Pennington collection that is coming in December... I wish I could get pics of it.

Lot's O' Fun In The Works

Hi Everyone,

Look what I got in the mail yesterday:

A little preview of Outfoxed by Lizzy House and Meet The Gang by Creative Thursday. This came with a letter. It seems the location where Andover has their fabrics bolted was wiped out by Irene along with a bunch of fabric. So Andover shipments will be a bit late arriving. We shall say a prayer for those affected and keep them in our thoughts.


As I mentioned yesteday. I met with my Moda rep, Angela, love that girl. She and her boss brought me a fun little treat bag including some candy that my daughter enjoyed a whole bunch (okay I ate 2 of the jack-o-lantern peeps) and these adorable napkins. So funny:

The small print: on the Owlixer: Take as often as needed. Spike: You only live once. Venom: Serve to your enemies straight from the bottle. Death becomes her: Live Fast Die Pretty. Totally cracks me up!

Of course they were here to show me new fund stuff... here is a tiny taste of what I bought:

Top row: Good Fortune by Kate Spain. Second Row: A Stitch in Color by Malka Dubrawsky. Third Row: Pezzy Prints by American Jane. Twew wuv!  These will all be out in January.

For those of you that have been begging me to get solids I also bought just a few Moda Bella Solids in basic colors. Let me know if you have any requests and I will get what you need.
