Sometimes it is just for me...

Hi Everyone!

Most of the time, when I meet with sales reps, I try to pick fabric that I think you all will love. Of course, it is my business to bring you things you love and want. Sometimes I am not sure what you will go for so I miss the mark. Sometimes I buy something because it speaks to my soul even if I am not sure how you will receive it. There is a fabric collection coming this week from Westminster that is one that spoke to my soul. I have been anticipating this line for months and I am so excited. Have you ever heard of Dan Bennett? He is an artist. This is his third fabric collection. It is called Cosmos:

 These tiny pictures don't do it justice... the border print (second one down on the left in each picture) is really cool. Well, you know that the Azure colorway is my fave but I am sure that the Vermillion is Sally's fave :) Did you know that I take Sally with me to appointments at Quilt Market to help me pick warm toned fabrics since they aren't my thing? It is good to have friends.

Sometimes I have to take a chance. Last year it was Pernilla's Journey which did really well, thankfully. Well I hope you all can see the potential in this one too. I can't wait to get IRL pictures so you can see how cool these are.

I'm Ba-ack... Market -the fabrics

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a chance to follow along on twitter or facebook while I was away. Other than the return flight problems (spent an unplanned night in DFW) I had a great time at Market. I got home yesterday morning. Here are some picures of fabrics and quilts. The people pictures are coming tomorrow.

Ty's Ties this is the latest collection from Ty Pennington. It will be here in December.

More of the new Impressions fabrics. I am so in love with the medallion fabrics and the leaf fabrics.

Market...It's Just a Week Away...

Hi Everyone,

Yes, it  is true. A week from today I will be on a plane to Market... where I will hopefully be able to grab some of this from Sample Spree:

I love those colors don't you? Yummy wonderful! (sorry Kate I stole your picture... couldn't help it really!)

Wanna hear something funny? I love it when I go to look at my bank account online and there are several thousand dollars gone... sounds weird I know but that always means something good is coming. Lark will be here Monday and Outfoxed and Meet The Gang should be here soon too... I don't get shipping notices so it is always a fun surprise when it lands on my doorstep.

I posted the few Free Spirit Designer Solids that I got in to the shop... I wish I could take a picture that was like feel-o-vision so you could feel these soft, satiny, delicious fabrics...

The Parrot Blue (last one in second row) is much more vibrant than that and matches the bright teal in Meet The Gang perfectly... I have had my little charm squares out matching things up... I am hoping to carry a nice selection of fabrics that match the new collections coming this fall and winter. Hint: a few of these match the new Ty Pennington collection that is coming in December... I wish I could get pics of it.

Lark, Outfoxed, and Meet The Gang Oh My!

Hi Everyone,

You know I get a little dizzy and happy when new fabric is coming. Lark will be here next Tuesday (jumps up and down). And rumor has it Outfoxed and Meet The Gang won't be more than a few days behind that.

Lot's O' Fun In The Works

Hi Everyone,

Look what I got in the mail yesterday:

A little preview of Outfoxed by Lizzy House and Meet The Gang by Creative Thursday. This came with a letter. It seems the location where Andover has their fabrics bolted was wiped out by Irene along with a bunch of fabric. So Andover shipments will be a bit late arriving. We shall say a prayer for those affected and keep them in our thoughts.


As I mentioned yesteday. I met with my Moda rep, Angela, love that girl. She and her boss brought me a fun little treat bag including some candy that my daughter enjoyed a whole bunch (okay I ate 2 of the jack-o-lantern peeps) and these adorable napkins. So funny:

The small print: on the Owlixer: Take as often as needed. Spike: You only live once. Venom: Serve to your enemies straight from the bottle. Death becomes her: Live Fast Die Pretty. Totally cracks me up!

Of course they were here to show me new fund stuff... here is a tiny taste of what I bought:

For those of you that have been begging me to get solids I also bought just a few Moda Bella Solids in basic colors. Let me know if you have any requests and I will get what you need.
