Super Sumptuous Fabric Saturday w/Giveaway and Sparkles

Saturday, July 11, 2015
Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all the good wishes for my vacation... If you didn't know I was on vacation for 11 days to beautiful Alberta, Canada... okay I have to admit the drive up and back was incredibly beautiful too. We went through Northern California, Central Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia. I got my pine tree and river fix. My daughter, Erin, tried every burger between here and there and declares Bob's Burgers and Brews in Kennewick, WA the winner for best burger in the West. If you like a good Fish and Chips I say try Brother Jon's Alehouse in Bend, Oregon.

This is Bonner's Ferry, Idaho.

We like it so much there that we are considering retiring there :)

We had a huge shop hop in the middle of June and I sewed a couple samples. I fell in love with these little purse frames called Jelly Clips and bought every color and every size. The clip comes with a pattern, so for the cost of an average pattern you get the cute little frame and the pattern. They are so easy to make you can finish one in less than an hour. These are two I have made so far... I know there are more to come :)

Wanna see what is new in the shop?

happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,

ALL OF COTTON & STEEL is here

(it still says pre-order but I will fix that as soon as I have a moment)

happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,happy dance,

You got a pre-view with the first little purse... that is Sodalicious by Emily Herrick

Isn't it fun... it reminds me of Fruit Stripe Gum (who remembers?)

Joy and Wonder by Cori Dantini is here... I fell in love with these Christmas Mice (my mom loved Christmas Mice)

Curiosities by Jeni Baker is so adorable.... my friend Jen is making Elizabeth's Bunny Quilt for us out of it... bunnies from bunnies :)

These are beautiful and bright the pictures just came out a little dark

Then we got Erin McMorris' wonderful Highline... I picked my favorite colors in this one... can't wait to make some pretty bright quilts for the walls in the shop.

Hope you like the new stuff :)

We are giving away the Sweet Finds colorway of Curiosities on Maureen's Blog this week. So head on over to enter to win.

Last but not least my Quilty Godson is coming to town ... it is true Molli Sparkles will be in the house on the 24th of July. If you are local and would like to have a close up and  personal look at his gorgeous Modern T-shirt quilt then come on down. He is going to have a little talk about how he decided what blocks and fabrics to use to compliment the T-shirts:

Hope you have a lovely weekend :) I am off to my happy place (work)!

Yay! For more sewing... and some gorgeous new fabric.

Hi Everyone,

I have had some super productive weekend days this week... Here is the latest iteration of the Aviatrix Medallion:

#aviatrixmedallion This is not my usual style but I love it!

It is a little out of my comfort zone I am a lots of white background kinda quilter. I am so enjoying Alison's fabrics though.

Here are most of the blocks for the next border:

A pile of X and + Blocks for the #aviatrixmedallion I have been taking them slow so I don't get them mixed up.

They make me so happy!

New in the shop this week:

Dreamin' Vintage by Jeni Baker I am calling it the Happiest Fabric on Earth. You can't help but smile when you look at it.

Then there is NouVelle by Pat Bravo. I think this might be my favorite collection from her... adoring the navy. I am making myself a skirt from the Navy with the light blue falling flowers.

Tell me about your weekend.... did you get to sew?

Talk soon,
Julie

I Told You It Was That Season

Thursday, January 5, 2012
Hi Everyone,

Remember back here when I told you it was the season for QALs... well I know you have seen it. It is crazy out there... I am trying not to stick my neck out too far ... too much flying around :) I did commit to one thing though... just one or maybe two...

I am joining the Stash Bee with Sunni at Love Affair With My Brother. Look at Sunni's block... how could I resist I ask you?

What about a block of the month that would be perfect for quilting newbies? Go see Jeni (I just started sponsoring her) and join along in her HST Block of the Month... looks like a kick right?

PS. I love how she uses the Art Gallery Oval Elements fabric in the middle....

Wow oh Wow!!!!! I finally made it to 1001 followers (okay I know I have lots more in google reader and I love you guys too) but it is fun to see that number on the widget isn't it? So let's celebrate... oh wait we are already celebrating... oh, so what! Who says we can't have two parties at once? Put on your party frocks and hats Ladies and Gents... and meet me back here tomorrow :)

Talk to you then :)
