Friday Fun Day and the Giveaway

It's Friday, Friday, Friday!!!! Woot! I am going to a trunk show tonight for two of my favorite Jewelry artists I can't wait. They are Kristen Robinson and Ruth Rae so inspiring. We are sneaking up oin my 500th blog post you know... if you have been around for any length of time that we will be having a PARTY!

A word about yesterdays post... it sounded whiny and I meant it to sound funny... honestly I have only lost my work mojo not my play mojo so how bad can that be? The play mojo is going fine! I did make an effort yesterday with the work mojo and spent about 6 hours getting all kinds of stuff on the coming soon page. So that my efforts aren't wasted go on over and have a look at all the lovelies coming in between now and July.

Do you ever have one of those weeks when you just can't seem to get it together and want to sit around and read trashy romance novels rather than do you work? I am having one of those... not that I am sitting around reading trashy romance novels... but I would if I could... or more likely Urban Fantasy which is my latest reading faze. Two weeks until Quilt Market and I am so not ready to go. I know I will get over this soon... but in the mean time... I made this pretty Mosaic from some pictures of Rhapsodia that Art Gallery sent me... it will be our giveaway this week so keep your eyes peeled...

Hi Everyone,

Phew! I finally got caught up with my orders on Saturday. What a load off! It was a crazy week last week.

Once I was done working I spent a couple hours making my Stash Bee Blocks. I feel bad because I am always a couple days late with my blocks... at least they will be shipped before the end of the month... Then I got to sit down with my jewelry making stuff and make something completely whimsical. I am not a big blingy jewelry kind of girl normally but I am having fun trying out some new things with resin and rhinestones and wrapping fibers to make a focal bead...

I am also working on my photography skills. What do you think? I am so inspired by Kristen Robinson and her Victorianesque jewelry. I was lucky enough to take a class with her in December and I love her style. She will be in town this weekend and I am hoping to spend a little while soaking up her creativity again. See the focal bead on the right side? it is made by wrapping hand dyed silk habotai with wire and cultured pearls, Swarovski crystals and beads. That was the technique I really wanted to try out. The medallion is a plain bezel that I had filled with the butterfly and art work a while back then glazed with Ice Resin... it was sitting around and matched the fiber bead so I thought I would incorporate it. I cut the loops (for hanging) off of it and applied it to the antiqued brass cabochon setting then added the rhinestones. It is pretty big but kind of fun :)

Here are my Stash Bee blocks... who knew I had yellow and black fabric in my stash? I didn't! A lucky rummage uncovered them :)

What a week! I hope you all are having a great one with lots of stitchy time. I started a blouse at sew day last weekend and I still haven't finished it... well I was up until midnight last night cutting fabric so there isn't a lot of play time around here right now.... You are all loving Summersville. If you want this collection don't wait because it isn't going to be here long ... just sayin'.

HELP! I have fallen under a pile of fabric boxes and I can't get up!!!!

Seriously... this came with a box of Art Gallery fabrics... yum! And I literally had to climb over the boxes to get to the door so I could go to the post office. You wonder why I have so many sales it is so that we don't become like those hoarders that can't find the front door... eep!
