Friday Fun Day... and giveaway contest

Hi Everyone,

I am bored with picking giveaway stuff this week. So I am going to make you work for it... Besides this will be fun. I promise.

First I wanted to show you Stitch:

For the giveaway this week we are going to have a little contest. Here are the rules:

1. Go to Play-Crafts and make a palette from a favorite photo. Make sure that the colors in the palette are colors you would actually like to have in your stash. Please make sure you have at least 5 colors in your palette. Something like this:

2. Upload the picture of the palette to our Flickr Group by Tuesday of next week  (3/19/13)

That is all  you have to do. Then I will have each of my employees pick their favorite from the palettes (see how I get out of having you all be mad at me?) and we will build fabric bundles based on those palettes. Then next Friday I will show pictures of the bundles and you all will get to vote on your favorite. Whoever get's the most votes will win a fat quarter bundle of their palette. We will also post the bundles for sale and 4 of you get bragging rights.

Go... have fun! Can't wait to see them.

Thanks to you all for the get well wishes. They are greatly appreciated. I am feeling a bit better today.

Random Tidbits....

Hi Everyone,

I have been extra quiet the last few days. Unfortunately, I am a bit under the weather. I think I burned the candle at both ends a little longer than I should have. In any case.... I haven't been laying around over here. Here are a few things that I have been up to.

Made Anna's Divided Basket from Bekko and a little Luxe in Bloom

I also finished a quilt... well it needs binding so I will show it when it is all done :)

As I said I am under the weather and still have a ton of orders to get out from the weekend so if it takes me a little longer to answer emails I am very sorry. I am pretty much running on 2 cylinders right now.

In love with hearts...

I have to admit that, until recently, I have never been all that enamored of hearts as a motif on a quilt. I had a lovely customer in this week that had made a super neat little heart quilt and it got me thinking about all of the heart quilts that I have been favoriting on Flickr this Valentine season.
