Happy New Year! Doe... It's here and more....

Thursday, January 1, 2015
Hi Everyone,

The rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated. I have had a cold but nothing life threatening :) I have just been working behind the scenes trying to set up some new and exciting things for the New Year over here. a new newsletter is coming out today... you won't want to miss it. You can sign up on the right hand side of the blog if you don't already receive it.

The long anticipated Doe has arrived minus one bolt that I am told won't arrive until February... who knows? It is a crazy industry... but oh so pretty.....

We also got this gorgeous... like I could eat it up... Petal & Plume by Bari J. The peacocks are gorgeous and the colors are so sumptuous... I love Art Gallery. I adore the feather prints and bought the knit of the navy feather print too... have to think up a new clothing project for it.

Art Gallery also added a few new solids and they are so rich they look like silk:

And... some adorable canvas for making bags... or covering chair cushions... oh my. It is called Geo Pop

Oops I forgot to mention... I also created this custom bundle called Frosty New Year just for you... it makes me happy and was inspired by that bird print from Anna Maria on the top... love the colors she put in that print... you can find it in fat quarters and half yards in the shop,

Have a happy Holiday day :)

More new clothes for Quilt Market

Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Hey Everyone,

The truth is I am always too hot at the convention center. So sleeveless tops work best for me... since I designed this blouse for summer  it is pretty much all I have been wearing... I made 5 versions in rayon  and voile and have been wearing them every day. It is comfortable and cute and all I want to wear anymore. I decided why not make a couple new ones for Market?

This is the Pretty Potent Rayon Version (my new favorite)

I have had the fabric cut for this next one since the week it came in and I finally did it... the Emmy Grace Voile version

I rediscovered my rolled hem foot and used it for these two blouses. I love the effect on the light fabric. It also made hemming the slinky voile so much easier. IF I had a choice I would wear that FreeSpirit Rayon every day and I have to say that I have made 5 blouses with voile in the last 4 months but this is the first one with Art Gallery voile (just coincidence) it is my favorite of all of the Voiles that I have used. It is much more drapey and comfortable to wear that the others I have used to this point.

On to work...

Fabric Avalanche Friday

Friday, June 6, 2014
Hey Everyone,

We got a ton of fabric in this week.

I am so in love with this new collection from Heather Bailey called Up Parasol:

Here are some individual pictures:

Then we got Bari J's new one from Art Gallery called Emmy Grace:

The little girls fishing with the Fawns looking on is my fave...

We also got some of the knits but they are gone already... they will be back in a week or so.

And we got this super fun Christmas Collection called Joyful Holiday frpm Kathy Davis. The little Earth with the houses and trees reminds me of that old Coke commercial "I'd like to teach the world to sing..."

see what I mean?

We got some Parson Grey Empire too... in lovely shades of gray and cream

So we have lots of pretties to look at this weekend... hope you are staying cool but not too cool...weird weather huh?
