Friday Fun Day... and a little Terrain Giveaway

Friday, July 8, 2011
Hi Everyone,

It is Friday Fun Day... you know what that means... a super tutorial from one of my fellow Creative Consultants For The Quilted Fish....

My market roomie and one of my bestest friends, Sally, made this adorable scrumpteousness for you to try. Go on over to The Quilted Fish and find out how she did it. You could be snuggling with this soon.

Did someone say giveaway and Terrain in the same sentence? Oh it might have been me... you see I have this:

Isn't it pretty? I simply cannot wait until it shows up in bolts for the shop. I can't giveaway the whole fat quarter bundle because I do have to make some samples with it, but I am going to draw two winners next Saturday the 16th of July to win two 5" charm packs a piece. I will cut the charms myself. There are 38 fabrics in this collection so that will be 76 charms in each pack. Whadya say? Do you want some?

Rules:
This one is a little trickier (I am trying to decide on one more Moda collection to bring to the shop this fall) so click here click on the blue scissors under the tags for Flora, Ruby, and Summer House (it will open a pdf with pictures of the fabrics) and tell me, in one comment, which two you like best. Try to keep in mind what I have in the shop now and the esthetic that I am trying to maintain as well. You guys get to have a peek into my process this way and I get to consider your input :) Giveaway is open until midnight Friday night the 15th of July.

Don't forget to enter to win some Little Apples you have until midnight tonight to get in your comment. I have so loved all of your 4th of July and holiday stories.

Good Luck Everyone!

Talk soon....

Yay! Quilt Guild Day

Saturday, July 2, 2011
Hi Everyone,

I am off to the Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild today. We are doing a mug rug swap (I used scraps from my Pillow Talk Swap stuff) I love it :) I hope whoever gets it does too. Then we are also doing a quilt along. It is an alphabet quilt along where we pick blocks that start with A, B, C etc... These are my first blocks (don't ask why but I decided I wanted to do two quilts at once) Ruby on the right (my traditional quilt) and LouLouThi on the left (my modern quilt) The block is called Alaska Homestead. The colors probably won't always match they just happened to this time.

Hope you all have a great Holiday weekend. See ya on the flip side :)

Talk soon.
