A Fat Quarter Bundle of the Blue Crush Colorway of Summerlove... to win you must go over to Diane's Blog and enter. Congratulate her on you 500th post for me too :)

Hopscotching...

Hi Everyone,

I actually got to sew for a few hours this week. I have had a Jelly Roll of Hello Betty Retro for a while. I don't know what it is about this collection that caught my fancy but for some reason I love it. Teal, orange, super dark almost black brown... I am not normally a repro/retro girl unless it is modern design from the 50's or something... anyway I finally found the pattern I wanted to use it with:

You can hop along at the Swoon a Hop Along here.

You can get your pattern from Camille here I found having a 60 degree Creative Grids Ruler was really helpful with the templates. I taped the templates to it and used it as my cutting edge.

Stay tuned for todays giveaway. I will be back with that in a little while.

Oops a little too much down time.... Name game winner.

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry I have been so quiet. I know when I receive two messages in one morning asking how I am, that I have been taking a little too much time off  :) I am fine, just recovering from having family here for three weeks straight and such a crazy busy shop for the last couple weeks... all good I assure you!

So what did we name her?

Meet:

Hanauma Bay: You can find her in the shop here and here

Thanks Diane... I will email you soon.

You guys want to see why I named it that:

That is one big beautiful blue bundle isn't it?

Did you see what Maureen made out of Summerlove?

Are those the cutest birds or what?

Wahh I need to sew!!! Maybe this weekend... :)

Talk soon!

Peak Hour is here!

ooops I forgot to mention... the cutest boy fabric ever is here in the shop:

It is hard to pick a favorite print but the Newspaper Ads are right up there for sure!

Playing with colors... a naming game.

Hi Everyone,

When I was little I used to love to take all of my crayons out of the box and put them together in color order. I think I did it different every time. Light to dark or dark to light. Does that blue green go with the blues or the greens. Is magenta red or pink... on and on... so I guess that is why I like to take the fabrics off the shelves and do the same thing. Yesterday, I had a tiny little while when my work was done before I had to make dinner and I came up with these:

I am calling this one Crashing Waves (inspired by some pictures I took in Monterey on Erin's b-day):

This one is Tangerine Tango Too (more tangerine because I can't get enough of it):

This one is Fade To Black (lightest grey all the way to black):

I have thought of a few names for this one.... Teal Feathers (a play on tail feathers) is the best I have come up with. So I thought let's have a naming game. You tell me what you would call it and I will pick my favorite of the names. Whoever's name I like best will get a little prize. I have to put a time limit on it though so let's say Monday morning at 8 AM Pacific time. I will pick a winner then.

You know Teal, Turquoise, Aqua is my favorite color so there were a lot more I could have put in this bundle. There is an abundance of that color here :)

I hope you are having a colorific Saturday!

Hi Everyone,

Contrary to popular belief I did not actually die in an avalanche of Flea Market Fancy. I did not drown in a sea of seedpods although I did need a snorkel a few times. :) I cut more than 300 yds of fabric over the weekend though...eep. Thank you to Jennifer who called to ask if I was okay and offer her services :)

Today is my mommy's birthday... Happy Birthday Mom!

These are some fabrics I am loving together today:

I mixed some Poetica (which is back in stock) with some Summerlove and Elements and came up with this... I might switch it around a little and sell it as a bundle. What do you think? I think we need more Elements I can't seem to get enough of those. Tell me what your favorites are. Maybe I can add them to my next order. You can find them here. (Any of the ones that say Elements in the title)

I am still trying to catch up with all of my orders from the weekend.  There is never enough time in the day :)

Talk soon!
