Friday Fun Day... and a giveaway

Friday, July 20, 2012
Hi Everyone,

It is friday fun day... how about the cutest pincushion tutorial ever (or darn close) Amanda (The Quilted Fish) has a tutorial up on Riley Blake's Cutting Corners for a Glamper pincushion.

I have seen the inside of the Glamper (in pictures) by the way it is pretty Amanda if you know what I mean.

Don't forget to check out the Christmas in July Blog Hop today... there is an adorable bag tutorial.

This week I am sending you over to Sarah's Blog for the giveaway ... she just hit 700 followers so she wanted to celebrate with a little Cameo giveaway:

So head on over and see if you can get yourself some!

Sew day for the Guild tomorrow so I might actually get to make something ... Whoop Whoop!

It's My Party and I'll Craft If I Want To...

Wednesday, October 19, 2011
Okay it isn't really my party... it is Amanda's but since she is letting us Creative Consultants help host it all around the country and the world... well you get the picture.

This is Delighted... just in case you haven't seen it around here enough :) What you can't see from the pictures is how amazing this would be for Christmas decorations. It would also be oh so adorable for any room in the house but especially a spunky girl... and this adorable bunting panel....

Imagine the Tea Parties!

All of the girls on the design team are celebrating in their own way today. Sally and Brooke have party posts up already so when you are done here you should go over there and check it out. Really if you aren't following the other girls on the team you should think about doing it... they are so amazing and creative. Here is the entire list:

While Sally was here last week we recorded a video for you so you could have instructions for the craft we are making. It is a Bottlecap Pin Cushion and she and I decided to add a ring to it. Here is the video.. you will get to hear my voice instead of just reading my typing... and the music is from Sally's band's first album... so cool!

This was done in one take so please be kind LOL

What would a party be without a goodie bag to take home? So yes, Virginia, there is a giveaway. I will be choosing ten people to send a bottle cap pin cushion kit to. All you will have to supply is the glue and fiber fill. I will even send you a ring in case you want to make a ring pin cushion like we did in the video. One lucky winner will win a fat quarter pack of one of the colorways of Delighted of their choosing. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I will pick the winners on Monday 10/24

... in shop news Lark did not come yesterday but it will be here next Monday... what did come yesterday is the most beautiful solid fabric I have ever seen... Free Spirit Designer Solids are gorgeous. They have a soft satiny finish to the hand that is just to die for. The colors are vibrant... honestly the prettiest solids I have seen. I will have them up in the shop tomorrow.... just a few colors to start but I will be ordering more.

Let's Par-tay

Friday, October 7, 2011
Hi Everyone,

After I finished my shipping yesterday I had a few minutes to work on a special little project. Here is a sneak peek:

I am gonna either change the color of the bird or move it to the other side so it's tail doesn't get lost in the flowers... but you get the idea... more about this Monday.

Amanda did a fun video with Riley Blake about her banner panel go check it out here.

It is Friday giveaway day... Since we are having so much fun with Delighted here are two more ways for you to win.

Monday, October 3, 2011
Hi Everyone,

This is what I worked on this weekend.

It is the Bunting / Banner panel from Delighted. It was a stunt sewing project for Amanda for her launch party in SLC so I have to get it in the mail to her. I just have 3 more medallion, ribbon, button combos to do.

What did you do this weekend?

New fabric coming today (I think) Rendezvous from Khristian A. Howell and Anthology. I think it is so elegant and different.

I just had to share the new little faces that were born to Harbor House at Heartline in Haiti this week...

How precious is that? I could just eat 'em up :)

Creatopia Giveaway

Sunday, October 2, 2011
Hey Everyone,

Run don't walk:
Amanda is giving away a creatopia cutter... a few months back her fabric line Sugar and Spice was featured on HSN with this cutter and Xyron just gave her one to giveaway. This looks like a heck of a lot of fun... so go sign up on her blog to win.

You Are Invited And More For The Giveaway

Saturday, October 1, 2011
Hi Everyone,

I promised more about Delighted today... I just didn't know there would be MORE Delighted too.
Sweet Amanda emailed to say she felt guilty because some of you thought she was giving the Rolie Polie away (by the way for those that asked a Rolie Polie is Riley Blake's version of a Jelly Roll) so she thought she would sweeten the pot. She is adding a 10" stacker (Layer Cake) and a 5" stacker (Charm Pack) to the giveaway. Someone is gonna be mighty happy to win this one!

So if I haven't mentioned it before Amanda is a genius when it comes to creative ideas. I mean really have you seen some of her patterns? I know we all love her fabric but she started out designing patterns and the girl is brilliant. You saw the Glamp here on the blog and if you saw pictures from Market you probably saw us wearing those adorable hats. Anyway... she is having a launch party for Delighted and you all are invited. Can't get to Utah? No problem the team and I are bringing the party to you.

We will have party favors! (aka make and takes) You will enjoy it I promise so don't forget to come and see me on the 19th. If you live in the Bay Area or close and want to come for a live party I will be having one right here at the shop email me for a non-virtual invitation :)

Today I am off to the Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild so I need to get my fanny in gear. Talk soon!

Friday Fun Day and the Giveaway Stays Home This Week

Friday, September 30, 2011
Hi Everyone,

Here is a little sneaky peek of the tutorial that will be in the Newsletter tonight. Because no matter how crazy things get around here the amazing Mistress Brooke never lets me down. I love you Brooke! Yummy yummy Terrain...

Last month when I booked a class at A Work Of Heart for yesterday I had no idea how busy I would be. I felt a little guilty for playing hooky for 2 hrs to go to the class... but I had a great time. I learned a teeny tiny bit about soldering and made these adorable pieces...

I couldn't resist showing you the little Charm Pack I got from Kate Spain she is so sweet!

I got a package in the mail a few days ago from my friend Jackie she sent me one of her hand dyed silk scarves and some of her hand dyed fabric as a surprise... Isn't it beautiful? She has just opened an Etsy shop for her wares.

So here is the giveaway. How about a Rolie Polie of Delighted?

Be sure to come back tomorrow for an announcement about Delighted as well.

But for now here is how you enter to win. You only have to do one but if you do more you get more chances. Leave a comment for each thing that you do:

1. Leave a comment... any comment.
2. Go over to Amanda's blog and leave her a comment. You might want to say something nice about how much you love her fabric designs. :)
3. Go to Amanda's facebook page and like her. And/Or click the like button for my facebook page on the top right of this blog.

So easy. The giveaway goes until next Friday, October 7.

See you tomorrow! Have a wonderful Friday!
