I am so out of it... and more things you didn't know about me.

I am so out of it. It has been a crazy busy week here. By the way if you were waiting for some reason to buy Terrain from me... Terrain has officially left the building. I literally have nothing but fat quarters and about 7 yards on various bolts left... gone like a freight train, gone like yesterday! (Yes, I am a country music fan.) So I just read my blog roll for the first time since Monday :) I hate it when I have no time for fun! I am hoping to remedy that this weekend.  I hope to have something fun to show you finished on Monday :)

Here is something you didn't know about me. I am a Geek... Nerd... totally true. I was a network and systems administrator before I decided to stay home to home school my daughter. I lasted as an aimless wanderer for all of a year before I started the business. I guess I crave stress :) Where I worked I administered both PCs and MACs. Though I tried to stay true to my PC roots there are a lot of attractive things about MACs. I came to truly appreciate them... living where I do (practically next door to Apple, Ebay, Google, Cisco...etc) it is really hard not to be effected by such a sad loss as we had yesterday. So I hope you forgive me for taking you away from the fun craftiness for a moment.

Friday Fun Day and the Giveaway Stays Home This Week

Last month when I booked a class at A Work Of Heart for yesterday I had no idea how busy I would be. I felt a little guilty for playing hooky for 2 hrs to go to the class... but I had a great time. I learned a teeny tiny bit about soldering and made these adorable pieces...

I couldn't resist showing you the little Charm Pack I got from Kate Spain she is so sweet!

I got a package in the mail a few days ago from my friend Jackie she sent me one of her hand dyed silk scarves and some of her hand dyed fabric as a surprise... Isn't it beautiful? She has just opened an Etsy shop for her wares.

Friday Fun Day and the Giveaway

Oh my goodness... My daughter doesn't do pop culture but my son does so now every Friday I hear him in my head singing that stilly Friday song... you know the one. I bet you have an idea of what I am giving away this week... Moroccan Mirage of course!

One of the ladies in my Modern Quilt Guild is Kacie... she and her husband have developed a super fun quilt designing software that you can use on their website. She doesn't even know that I am posting this I just thought of it this morning :)

Something super fun happened yesterday. My little blog was visited by none other than the sweet, beautiful, amazing, generous Kate Spain. I started working on my Scrappy Mug Rug Swap #6 item this weekend... my partner loves jewel toned batiks so I dug deep (batiks not being readily at hand) and found some really pretty ones... they also had to be Autumn-ish colors (all you who know me... you know how difficult this was for me) but I think I found just the thing and I am pretty excited at how fun this is coming out...

This might be the front or the back because I am pretty much loving the back I am making too...

I got a package from The Quilted Fish yesterday her new fabric line Delighted is shipping and she sent me my play fabric,. I got a FQ bundle of Delighted so I took a picture of it:

Then I tore into it and started ironing...

Then I laid it out lovingly....Le Sigh! So pretty!

The yardage for the shop will be here on Tuesday! I can't wait... I am literally bouncing up and down with excitement.

Little Apples will me here this week as well.... and a little birdie told me that Terrain is not far behind. Oh the joy!

In the shop this weekend... I just marked 1001 Peeps and Wrenly down to $6.99 a yard just a few yards left of each and I need the shelf space. I also marked Prince Charming, Alphabet Soup and Hoo's In The Forest down to 50% off... getting low on those but they just need to clear out as well. So much new stuff coming this week that I won't have room for otherwise.
